Trip Cost Calculator is a free, ad-supported tool that helps users estimate fuel or electricity costs, tolls, and vignettes for road trips using publicly available mapping data. No account is required and we do not store your trips on our servers — your routes, settings, and history stay in your browser.
The Service is funded by advertising and affiliate commissions, and uses cookies for analytics and advertising subject to the choices you make in the cookie banner. Exactly what is processed, by whom, and how to change your mind is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
The Service is provided "as is" without any warranties. We do not guarantee the accuracy of distances, fuel prices, station locations, or cost calculations. Always verify critical information independently.
In no event shall Trip Cost Calculator or its operators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.
The Service relies on third parties including Google Maps and Places APIs (routing, autocomplete, parking and charging search), Google AdSense (advertising), Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (analytics, subject to your consent), Resend (delivering the "Email this trip" message), Cloudflare (hosting and CDN), and IP-based country detection providers. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies; the full list and links are in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party content, including the content of the ads served to you.
If you use the "Email this trip" feature, you confirm that the address you enter is your own or that you have permission to send to it. Do not use the feature to send unsolicited messages. We may rate-limit or disable the feature to prevent abuse.
You agree not to scrape, resell, or systematically extract data from the Service, to interfere with its operation or security, to circumvent any rate limits, or to use automated means to generate ad impressions or clicks. We may restrict access if we detect such activity.
The Service contains affiliate links to third-party travel partners (including Travelpayouts and its associated booking platforms for flights, hotels, and car rentals). If you click one of these links and make a booking or purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These commissions help keep the Service free to use. We only link to partners we consider relevant to trip planning, and using them is entirely optional.
